A fresh beer with a distinct taste and character. Bitter, tough and headstrong. The delicious MOAT is a mature blond beer full of taste.

Bought MOAT at Drankcenter Schotte (although I went to the brewery the next day of the tour.)
MOAT Looks appetising with a healthy foam above a pale bod and its lace sticks around... but there seems more sediment than necessary. Smells are malt yearning to be fruit and, then, revealing that action as a good yeast at work. Tastes largely follow, but the hops penetrate a bit too much in the finish for MOAT to be a table ale of-choice. Better than medium-mouthed made by the yeast.
I give very good Overall Hugs to Dilewyns, an up and coming Belgian family brewer; growing when the industry is sagging.

Copenhagen 4/11 2023. 33 cl chubby bottle from Spar, Langestraat, Oostende. Simple black label with the name of the beer in very colorful letters.
Pours opaque, unclear orange with a big white head. Settles as uneven, lumpy layer of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a odor of sweet malts and alcohol with yeasty notes. Sweet pale malts and metallic alcohol. Whiff of humid basement.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, smooth, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a rather strong sweetness followed by a mote moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a light boozy streak. Lingers for a while. Finish is semi-dry.
Sweet Belgian Ale with a quite boozy demeanor despite an ABV of only 6,5.
