On tap at the brewpub. Now, I wasn't sure what this was when I was drinking it - pegged it as some kind of cross between a dunkel and a Belgian brown with some slight cherry flavors. Maybe it's better to rate beers that way sometimes.
Pours a hazy medium brown color with a thick one-finger off-white head.
Aroma is caramel, slight Belgian yeast, mild toast, and cherries.
The flavor does not have much tartness to it like they claim. Fortunately it's not sickeningly sweet with medicinal flavors like many fruit beers can be. Caramel malt, bready notes, earth, Belgian yeast, and cherries.
Medium-bodied with medium-high carbonation. No tart bite at all - it really is like a dunkel or Belgian brown on the feel.
Overall, enjoyable enough, but not a beer anyone would go crazy over.
