- brewed with pineapple.
A: Cloudy lemony pour produces a quickly building, glass consuming 3+ inches of oatmeal colored head that mushroomed and breached the vessel's rim. The mountainous structure soon pitted with huge, cavernous voids, both surface and along the sides. The coloring was a oxidized tangerine within the vessel with a heavy haze factor and a solid, strong effervesce presence. (3.75)
S: Hard to get a good wiff or scent of this beneath the monstrous head that inhibited much detection. After some recession, some orange-pineapple tartness, some wheat, but not much else here. Light scent factor, limited complexity, not much incentitive or backing. (2.75)
T: Flavor was tart orange-pineapple, dry wheat, with some startch notes. Very linear flavor, no highpoints, monotone delivery, forget-able factor. (2.5)
M: Dry starchy mouthful, strong carbonation, washy and dry sourness on long holds. Feels washy and sudsy. (2.5)
O: Overall the flavor wasn't inviting next sips or anticipations (and im a fan of pineapple). It (pineapple) just doesn't seem to be working lately in the handful of beers ive been sampling. This was dry, tart, uninviting, unrefreshing even on a hot summer day as a poolside beverage this would get a don't bother. Summer of 69 gets just that from me, a 69 with perhaps the only redeeming quality being the visual, An unapologetic drain pour. (2.5)
