Served on-tap at LAB (Lexington Ave Brewery) in Asheville, NC
A: Pours a clear dark amber in color with light amounts of gentle visible carbonation and some cola brown highlights. The beer has a quarter finger tall beige head that reduces pretty quickly to a medium sized patch of very thin film and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Light to moderate aromas of nutty bready malts with some lighter hints of rye spiciness.
T: Upfront there is a light to moderate flavor of nutty and bready malts with light hints of rye spiciness and a hint of sourness/dankness. There is a light amount of earthy hops but very light amounts of bitterness which fade quickly.
M: Light to medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation.
O: A decent take on a not too popular style. I could have drank another of these but it was not the easiest drinking beer.
