On tap. Poured a slightly cloudy, golden orange color with a small, white head of foam. It smelled of citrus, pine and toasted caramel. Very citrusy and pine with caramel and toffee.

1st review on BA. Pours a darker color than most lagers. This is amber, bordering on auburn even. Head popped up to 1/2" off white, kinda impressive given all the booze and hops in this one. Aroma was hoppy, seemed like they went with maybe Simcoe and Amarillo on this one. The lager yeast gets overshadowed in the aroma department by what appears (what is the equivalent for appears when dealing with a smell? Seems like a visual word). to be the heaviest handed hopped beer in Sudwerk's +20 years.
Taste is good, yeah, its a little warm, but when you think about the 10% aspect, it actually does a pretty good job making this drinkable without receiving an immediate punch in the face (that comes later). Not overly sticky or heavy, the color made me think I was going down a crystal malt path, but not so much. The lager yeast was noticeable in the taste, but it is really subdued underneath all that alcohol and hoppiness. I think I saw cans of this over the weekend too. Who knows, might pick up a pack, this beer was good enough to consider it again.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
