Pours a brilliantly clear copper color with an off white head. The aroma is a mixture of wheat, sour yeastiness, and a hint of cherry, though it is definitely fruity. The taste is dry and slightly acidic in the finish and the cherry flavor is light, but definitely contributes something to this beer. This is a very light and refreshing beer, enjoyable in its refreshing simplicity.

My comparison with this to Sam Adams Cherry Wheat is inevitable, seeing how much I love that beer.
Poured Rio's into a tulip glass, forming a thick white head that nevertheless runs out pretty quick. Beer itself is a clear red-brown, with no evident carbonation.
Aroma is much more subtle than Sam Adams...the fruit is there, but it allows the malt and hops room to breathe.
Taste backs up the nose. This is subtle, and would probably be enjoyed by those who think the Sam Adams Cherry Wheat is too sweet. The fruit is much more subtle here. Unfortunately, so is the beer itself. The wheat malt is the main player on the tongue, with the hops dropping in on the aftertaste. Mouthfeel is thin, slightly scouring. Finishes with a light bit of hops and fruit but clean.
This is a nice unoffensive fruit beer, very drinkable. This tastes like a watered-down version of Sam Adams, and between the two I'd rather have that. I wonder if with repeated tastings I might come to appreciate the lighter flavor of Rio...

Medium red-brown color, cherry nose. A medium bodied wheat beer, with a sweet/sour cheery flavor. Cherry flavor is not too sweet, but add an interesting balance to the malts and hops. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean. Aftertaste is slightly bitter. Interesting beer.

Cloudy pale lightly earthy red in color with a thin, tight pinkish-grey foamed head that faded fast, leaves low lying patches of lace. smell is faint of wheat and cherry tartness, not to much to it. Taste is mighty fine easy, smooth crispness of wheat and malts with nice acceptable amounts of cherry tartness and souring, the real kind, not arificial, at least it seems that way anyway. Smooth and light crisp medium body with excellent souring tartness lingering from midway throughout and into the finish leaving a slight souring dryness for a bit. Very drinkable, quite a decent cherry wheat brew, enjoyable and flavorful, a good summer refresher.

A beautiful somewhat hazy cherry red color on the pour, the head majestic in size, frothy in consistency with oodles of fine lace to cling to the glass. "Cherry Coke" comes to mind, sweet, malt laden, quite a treat for the nose. Front is ambrosial, middling top with a finish that is strategically hopped, startling in its acidity and the aftertaste serenely dry, quite quaffable and really not bad for a Fruit beer.
