Purchased at the LCBO 3yrs ago for just over $5.00 for a 750ml bottle. Served at 9deg C in a draught glass

A- Opens well and pours a 1" high off white head that films out in 4 or 5 minutes. Light red colour and filtered clear

S- Nice cherry here. No medicinal scent at all like some fruit brews.

T- Super light and smooth beer. Must try. Super mellow and blended to perfection.

M- Aged perfection.

O- Very good. Have tried many of this companies fruit brews before and did not like them at all. Put a few years on it and watch out! Fantastic

Food Pairing

This wonderful brew went very well with...... Home made ice cream with my favorite vanilla bean

Enjoy

Nice, refreshing summer wheat beer with a discernible hint of cherry flavor.

Hazy amber color with a pink hue (salmon) and powerful activity. Foamy creamy sparkly white pinkish 2 finger head lasting around 10 minutes with weak legs.

Aromas and flavors of fruits, floral and herbal spices. Strong cherry flavor, but not overly sweet, with minimal spicy hops. Almost like drinking bubble gum.

Light body with prickly carbonation. Faint and short clean finish ending with a fruity feel.

Overall this is a good fruit beer but lacking in body and actual beer flavors. Great summer beer being very fresh and crisp that is accessible for everyone.

On tap at Basin 141 in Montrose, CA.

Pours a murky reddish-orange with a foamy orange-white head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of grain, cherry medicine, fruit slice candy, and perfume aromas. Taste is much the same with cherry medicine, perfume, and spice flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of spice bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is an above average beer that is drinkable, but there is a medicinal aspect of the cherry smell and taste that lowers the drinkability for me.

Serving type: on tap.

this is so brutally underrated i think, but i dont think these guys get enough love in general, all of their beer is pretty awesome. maybe unknown a little in this market, oh well, more for me. this is so much better than the apple i think, cool to see draft in colorado too. pink in color, smelling bright like the fruit, and tasting as authentic as can be on the cherry, finally a cherry beer that isnt medicinal or sweet, or a wild ale, one of the first i would drink again really in that family. the wheat base is nice, flavorful, fresh, and distinct from other white wheat beers in its body and texture. i love how the cherry isnt dominant, lets the cereals come out in the middle, and it doesnt linger in the finish. i think this could satisfy a fruit beer lover any place on the spectrum, and because of the drier finish, its more of a session than others. this has me a lot more curious than i was to try the rest of the fruited beers in this series. these guys can do no wrong in my mind, i would drink this again for sure, especially in a summer context. effervescent and as refreshing as red fruit beer can be for me.
