Tropically Hoppy. Light, yet Full-Bodied. Bright and Citrusy. Word.

The magical, mystical 12th of Never is a blend of Old and New School hops that play bright citrus, rich coconut, and papaya-esque flavors, all on a solid stage of English puffed wheat. Tropically hoppy. Light, yet full-bodied. Bright and citrusy. The 12th of Never Ale is everything we’ve learned about making hop-forward beer expressed in a moderate voice. Pale, cold, slightly alcoholic and bitter. It’s all we know.

These 12oz mini-kegs (AKA cans) are an exciting new option for us, and we are stoopid stoked at the opportunity for y’all to take us to all those new, nelophobic locations…

Hazy, golden color. Big, white head. Malt and citrus in aroma. Malty backbone with moderate hoppy bitterness in taste. Solid and well-balanced pale ale.

Copenhagen 6/11 2018. 35,5 cl can from Meny, Østerfælled Torv, Kbh Ø. Very purple can with a golden beer cap which is quite strange on a can. Lagunitas Dog head on the can.

Pours slightly hazy with medium-sized, bubbly head. Settles as very thin layer barely covering the surface of the beer. Moderate Lacing.

Aroma is intense and citric. Sweet exotic fruit like mango, melon and papaya. Notes of citrus and resin.

Medium strong carbonation. Thin, watery and prickly texture.

Flavor is medium sweet followed by stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and lingers for a bit. Finish is semi dry.

Refreshing but a bit thin APA. Does get points for being more bitter than sweet.

the first lagunitas can i think, an easy drinking, very dry, slightly bitter, pale ale with a modern hop profile, less of the heavier crystal malt so many of their hoppy beers have, and so excited in terms of carbonation, this is a ripper right from the can, ideal when super fresh, citrusy but not overly fruity, just beer flavored beer for the craft enthusiast, i think they did a real good job with this, and i am sorry that it is already discontinued, hoping it makes a comeback some day. near clear, yellow straw colored, fizzy white head slowly fading. aroma of northwestern hops with some light botanical bitterness and hints of lemongrass, mowed lawn, and even juniper, its juicy without having to have the hops carried by excessive grain heft and starch as is common, and its clean on the ferment. the flavor is identical to the nose, a touch floral and increasingly bitter as it warms, clean citrus thing, peppy with this super high carbonation, and bone dry. this is ideal session beer without being forced into a low calorie or better for you cheapening, still fully crafted for flavor. there are lots of beers playing in this space, but this is one of the best, especially at peak freshness. i will miss this...

12oz can - review from notes

Drinking this around the 4th of July and it's perfect for this time of year. Lighter, inoffensive, nothing complex, just a good easy drinking pale ale. Slight metallic aftertaste, and it's forgettable, but I'm not complaining

Cute stuff written on the 18oz. can, mysterious numeric codes on the bottom.
Pretty average pale yellow, fizzy ale inside the can.
Vaguely hoppy aroma and mildly malty flavor with a clean, unremarkable finish.
