A very well put together double IPA the quality to price is through the roof. BUY THIS BEER.

S - Not spectacular, pretty straight up DIPA I get a little fruit some hops nothing really overwhelming

T- A little hoppie at first not overwhelming like I like, I get some citrus and it finishes with a grapefruit taste

A - Pale orange with a crisp whit head

M - Lightly carbonated with a dry finish, not overly dry like I want but dry.

D - Drink this beer. I keepz it simple.

The pour is a nice shade of red with a medium head. The taste is just excellent. Very smooth and a perfect balance of hoppiness and flavor. The head left a trail of lines as I drank the beer and I must say that i went to this bar prepared to try many beers but after this one I had to order another; and the second was just as good as the first. You must try this beer!!

On tap at the Lagunitas tap room. Pours a dark-ish orange color with about a finger of head. The aroma has lots of grapefruit and floral hops. The taste is where you get that some of the oily wet hops, along with the same grapefruit as the aroma. The mouthfeel is medium-light bodied with medium carbonation, and the bitterness/dryness of the finish that you would expect of a DIPA.

A very solid beer, never had the regular Maximus but this wet hop version was a treat. Not surprising considering Lagunitas' other IPAs are stellar on tap as well.

A - Served a super hazy copper-orange color with a half finger of frothy white head. The head fades down fairly quickly leaving behind some nice lacing.

S - Aroma is bursting with tons of fresh citrus hops. Lots of orange and grapefruit. There is also some piney hops mixed in as well as some rich caramel malts.

T - Starts off with a huge kick of fresh citrus hops with plenty of bitterness. Again, lots of orange and grapefruit flavor. some rich sweet caramel malts in the background. Through the middle, more citrus hop and bitterness come through alongside some more grassy hops joining in. The finish is a mix of lots of fresh hop and bitterness and a bit of sweet malt that linger.

M - Medium-full bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth with a fairly dry and resiny finish from the hops.

D - Very drinkable. Amazed as to how big and fresh the hop flavor was. Not really all that balanced, but this beer was made to showcase the hops and it nailed it.

Pours clear orange with a ring of white bubbles. Sweet grapefruit candy aroma with fresh oranges. Nice, strong pink grapefruit hop taste with some orange peel. The malt is there, but not too much so as to spoil the bittersweet hops. Great news: that Lagunitas sugary sweetness is also missing, making this one big, clean, hoppy beer. Great stuff.

Shal-zam! Had a few samples of this one at the Bistro's Wet Hop Festival. Really potent floral hops just radiate out of this one. I felt like I was giving oral sex to a hop vine. Light golden amber pour with a creamy head. This one is hopped with wet Zeus and Tomahawks, which tastes awesome and gives it a unique profile. Not really exceptionally bitter, rather the floral aspect of the hops is what defines this beer, and it's off the charts. Absolutely the hoppiest beer I've had (and I've had alot of hoppy ones); I could still smell fresh hops on my girlfriend's breath the next morning (a big turn-on!!!). If you took a handfull of hops and broke them up in your fingers, that smell is the taste of this beer. I couldn't possibly recommend this beer more; it is a real gem. Surprisingly, this beer was met with mixed reviews; everyone was talking about it, but they either really loved it or really hated it.

Fresh hops are very unique tasting to begin with; they are much more flavorful than dried hops, but usually lack the astringent bitterness. DON'T JUST SIT THERE, SEEK THIS BEER OUT!!!
