On tap. Slightly hazy golden yellow. White head with lace.
Pine, resin, and some tropical fruits. Bit of stonefruit. Earthy and some papaya notes. Bitter finish. Solid.

a beautiful golden ipa with a mild haze to it and a gorgeous fresh hop complexion to it, balanced, well refined, and delicious, my first beer from redwood curtain. its got an awesome hoppy nose of fresh flowers, zesty orange, and cut pine, very west coast, supported by a cool honey note to the malt. it smells brand new, thoughtfully put together, and really dank but without being overly hopped for the sake of it. the flavor is great, lots of balance from the lightly sweet pale malt, and not too much bitterness here. oily and rich feeling on the hops, sticky indeed, with a vegetal botanical property and a lot of the essential hop oils in here. citrusy and dry hoppy, but still rather traditional, a good blend of hops in this one, well timed and apportioned. this is a wonderful ipa, the kind of thing i could drink almost without limit, a true california type ipa, old school but made modern. an impressive introduction to this brewery, i will be on the hunt to drink more of their beer next time i am out west, this was absolutely delicious!

Had it on draft, and my pint had little to no head. It was opaque and light amber in color. It smelled of wood and pine with a bit of butterscotch. Great hop and malt flavors with just the right amount of fruit, but not too much. It was slightly creamy in texture with some fizz on the tongue and gave the feeling it had more than the 6.1% alcohol. I felt it was a very good IPA and definitely would drink it again if I can find it elsewhere.

On-tap at THG.
A: Served a cloudy yellow color with a thin creamy white head. Complex sheets of sticky lace was left down the glass.
S: Super fruity and tropical almost candy-like nose with a strong mint flavor as well. Touch of cat piss for good measure.
T: Vegetal hops with notes of cat pee, pine forest, and mint. Herbal and leafy finish with a kiss of citrus. Bready base malt pokes through in the finish with a lingering amount of mint. Bitter leafiness.
M: Medium body, soft carbonation, chewy mouthfeel, clean, lightly greasy, and slick.
O: Not my favorite hop profile, but a well-executed and highly drinkable IPA.
