1st review of this beer on BA. Stopped in after a day of traveling and dipping into breweries to pick up cans to go on the way to the Stones Rose Bowl show.
Pours a very light beer looking yellow with plenty of clarity hinting at as minimalistic of a malt bill as you may have ever seen. But its pretty. Aroma threw a bunch of stuff at ya, the lager yeast is light, the hops go in two different directions, you have this lemongrass like neo mexicanus vibe, but then there is the seeming tropical and blueberry like Mosaic impact. I have no idea what the hop bill was, just what it smelled and tasted like.
Taste was so good, I mean just bursting with hop flavors and an ultra light malt body that tastes like 90% air and 10% barley. Carbonation just right. I really love session ipl when done right, and this is a textbook example of how it should be. Really the only thing I might change is a more skunky lager yeast, but I realize I'm in the minority there. Since FW likes dropping light beer ales, I think they should ramp this into production/cans too. Would bang. Excellent stuff.
