Wavvy (4) pours a vibrant yellow with a hint of orange, slightly opaque, with an enormous coarsely foamed white head that clings to everything it comes in contact with.
Despite its age, it flaunts wonderful citrus aromas along with dank weed, pine, a sweet honey maltiness, and a pleasant earthy tone that lingers.
Time has allowed a smooth sweetness to take over, but just a bit. This still oozes with grapefruit, lemon, sap, and herb.
It feels great. Crisp, but not entirely clean as it lacks some dryness in the finish. A decent amount of bitterness along with a hefty carbonation allow this to make its presence stay quite a bit.
I would have loved to have this fresh, I think this is quite good. As it is, a comforting kind of old school style IPA with a slightly unrefined quality to it. I'll be seeking out future renditions. Cheers.

Batch 4 with Simcoe, Pacific Gem and Amarillo hops. Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a hazy straw/golden amber with a two finger white head with good retention and thick lacing. Aroma of caramel malt, citrus hops, lemon and grapefruit. Flavor is caramel malt, citrus hops, lemon and orange citrus, mixed light tropical and stone fruit, lemon and grapefruit. Finishes with lightly resinous piney and citrus hops with a moderate bitterness level. Medium bodied with light creaminess, nice mouth feel. A nice IIPA with a solid malt base and good hop bill with a mixture of citrus and fruit flavors. It's a little hazy, but the tropical fruit notes are well balanced with citrus hop flavors, so it's less fruit forward than a NE style IPA, and for the better. No individual fruit note stands out here, but the blend is quite nice. The finish manages to seem resinous, but not overly hoppy. Quite nice and drinkable throughout the pour.
