Stillwater knocked it out of the park with this one very bright hazy yellow with a nice half inch of froth and smell of peppery hay and herbal spices. thankfully The taste doesn't involve too much dandelion I was afraid it would be really bitter and acidic but end up being very balanced fruity somewhat dry and easy drinking. Body is bubbly and smooth easy to quaff. overall well worth the price of admission especially because I only paid a couple bucks for the can

i remember liking the original in the bottle many years ago, this is what stillwater used to be known for before all the trendy beers kicked up and they joined in, cool saison types, rustic but modern farmhouse beers, and after being a little let down by the last daze of disco one i had recently, i was pleased with this, although its quite a bit different than i remember from the original, perhaps freshers, but i get more of the herbs and a little less refinement from the beer overall, but this is a nice summery drink and a fun one to celebrate with last night, cool its in a can too, seeing that more and more. this is hazy from the first drop into the glass, has a short lived and quite average white head, and plenty of carbonation when i drink it even though it doesnt really look like it. aroma and flavor of green tea, dried herbs, the bitter dandelion character, and a simple french/belgian type yeast with white wine notes and soft earthy spice, this would be really cool with some brett brux or something, hopefully they have a special edition in the works. i like the herbal profile here, its fresh and almost healthful feeling to me in this, kind of taking the place of any hops at the end, and im finding myself glad this isnt all modern and double dry hopped with galaxy or something, although that would assuredly work well too. this is good but not amazing, especially for stillwater, but more than anything i am just glad to be seeing a steady trickle of their beers into idaho! thats all i can ask for...

This beer pours a hazy pale golden color with a light lace head from a 16 oz. can. The lightly funky taste give a refreshing change to most beers of a similar coloring, but very much in the vein of a quality saison.

16oz can. Poured out a cloudy, golden orange color with a good-sized, off-white head of foam. It left sudsy trails of lace. It smelled of floral notes, toffee, caramel and spices. Sweet caramel taste with spices, lemon and fruity flavors. Medium bodied and crisp.
