Red 33 named for the food coloring but not made with any of the food coloring. This beer is supposedly a blend of three different beers made with different organisms including a Brett strain, Pediococcus and Lactobacillus. Served by Brian tonight at Churchkey.

Beer is red and has a slight haze to it. No head or lacing and minimal carbonation. It was from a gravity pour firkin. Looks pretty good.

Aroma is really strong. There is some acetic sourness to it, some lactic, not much brett character (I don't know what strain was used) and some fruits like cherries in there. Interesting overall.

The body of this beer is thin and its VERY tart in the back corners of the mouth. Some citric based sour notes but the winner here is acetic. Its not like vinegar, not at all. Some bruins get to be like balsamic vinegar but this is a nicely balanced, slightly sweet and fruity beer that far surpassed my expectations. I was able to hang out after the event and drink a few more of these things. Its relatively smooth in the mouth but after two or three glasses the sour stomach sets in and I have to stop. A very nice Flanders.

I'm not sure there is a great style for this beer but after hearing the description and drinking the beer I feel this is the closest out of the 103 options. Thanks again Brian.
