Stillwater? But I thought they were gone. I guess, like celebrities you thought were long-since moldering in the cemetery, some can still pop up with an appearance and totally surprise you, like Kim Novak, Gene Shalit or even ole Chubby Checker. Anyhoo... overall, a solid, likeable saison with tones of lemony citrus, white wine and a distinct herbal tone.

The pour is marigold colored. The taste is white sage, earthy herbal notes, floral, peppercorns, along with some hints of cantaloupe & barnyard funk. Overall, this was a solid Saison / Farmhouse Ale. Cheers! B

Poured from a can into a tulip glass
Appearance – The beer pours a lightly hazed yellow straw color with a puffy head of white foam. The head has a great level of retention, fading quite slowly over time and leaving a good sum of foamy and streaky lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is heavy of a crisp cracker malt mixed with some apricot, white grape, and a bit of peach. There are other notes of a floral and a white peppery nature along with some herbal smells of sage and a bit of hay.
Taste – The taste begins with a nice crisp cracker malt flavor mixed with some light apricot, white grape, and peach as well as some yeast and hay. There is a touch of funk and some sage upfront, both of which grow a bit stronger. All the while some of the sweeter tastes fade all while notes of white pepper and some must join in, taking the taste to the end where one is left with a rather crisp taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is light and crisp with a higher and effervescent carbonation. For the style and tastes the feel is pretty nice and makes for a easy sipper.
Overall – A rather easy drinking Saison, with a pretty decent balance and overall good style.
