This beer is newly tapped at Glen's Garden Market in Dupont Circle, DC. I have seen it on tap in Baltimore as well.
This is a collaboration between 3 brewers: Stillwater Artisanal, Dog Brewing (Baltimore), and DC Brau (Washington, DC) and is brewed at the Pub Dog facilities in Maryland.
This is a Black Spiced Saison, but many people are calling it a Stout. It is too light bodied to be a stout in my opinion, the malt taste is not as dark and chocolatey, and the carbonation is slightly greater.
Pours dark brown/black as a stout with a creamy light brown head.
Smells of caramel and roasted fire.
Mouthfeel is super light but smooth!
Spicy characteristic, definitely some cloves or some kind of baking type spice used.
Overall really enjoyable and will be coming back for more.
