For this specific Oude Geuze Golden Blend, we blended lambikken from three different barrels and five different brews. The brew consists of more than one third of 50-month old lambik.
We also added one sherry barrel of 34-month old lambik. This way, the weighted average age of the blend upon bottling is 28 months. About one third of the 3 Fonteinen lambik was brewed with Pajot grown cereals. This is the same blend as the 32nd, but with a different sherry barrel.

Loved the orignal golden blends I have had, but what would a sherry barrel add? (Also known as blend 31) Cellared 4 years. Classic cloudy dark orange pour with a bubbly white cap turned into surface lacing slowly, plenty of lacing on the glass though. Oaky nose with huge sour lemon, wildflowers, vinegar, horse blanket and more so barnyard funk, but now there is a musty grape tone in the background too, bring peach out a bit. Taste showcases the vibrant wood and funk to an amazing degree with all elements from the nose playing off of it, residual notes of peach, barnyard hay, lemon, musty grape, and dried earth. Feel is not as oaky yet plenty funky, full, yet smooth and elevated. Still an amazing gueuze, though I slightly prefer the original by a hair
