Small beer, big flavor
Now nearly a forgotten style, Mild ale originates from England, where less than a century ago it represented the majority of beer brewed there. At 4.0% ABV, MPLS Mild is the definition of a session beer. Six grains, including flaked oats and Britain’s prized Maris Otter, lend it a garnet brown color, silky mouthfeel and surprisingly substantial body. The Mild greets your palate with a subtle interplay of nutty, roasty, and toffee malt character. It’s so easy to drink, you’ll soon find yourself ordering another, and another – if our brewers haven’t finished it all already.

Pours a dark mahogany brown with a creamy tan head, the nose is roasty char notes, some toffee, and a bit of chocolate.
The taste has loads of the char, a nice amount of toffee, and the chocolate comes forward as the beer warms. An outstanding mild, IMHO.

Pour at the tap room. Listed on the menu board as year round availability.
Dark brown colored body. Light tan colored head, which lasted as a creamy cap. Spots of lacing.
Aroma of roasted malt, with toffee. A rather muted and subtle nose.
Taste is a good balance of dark malt, toffee, with a nutty character.
Medium mouth feel, and somewhat creamy.
A true session ale, with no bitterness, but with good balance for the aroma and taste. A really pleasant beer experience.

Blackish brown with tan head that turned to a ring quickly. Smells of chocolate and moderate roast. Really nice chocolate and berry like flavors. Mild roast flavors and nice mouthfeel for a mild

I this the MpLs Mild was a decent English mild style. Bready nose with hints of caramel and vanilla. Tasty malty sweetness with hints of nut brownness. It finishes quite nice as well with a little toffee and cream. Sad it's only available at the taproom. All I needed was some fish n chips.
