What do you get when you age an iconic Minnesota IPA in the oak barrels from the world’s largest Irish whiskey maker with ingredients inspired by a legendary cocktail? If you were fortunate enough to visit our booth at the 2019 GABF in the Jameson Barrel Aged Beer Garden you got yourself a taste (or two or three). Of course something this good is meant for sharing so fast forward to today. Subtly sweet with flavors of orange, cherry and a touch of that special ingredient: Jameson Oak. Old Fashioned Sweet Child might be the best embodiment of our "everyday extraordinary" mission ever.

12oz bottle. No dating information found.
Cloudy, pale amber colored boy. Skinny finger of eggshell white head. Leaves some shelves of lacing.
Aroma is remindful of an Old Fashioned cocktail, but there is no whiskey smell. Has the cherry and the orange, and hint of whiskey oak barrel (the staves are bleeding into this beer).
Taste is less precise as to the Old Fashioned flavor. Has the cherry and orange, and some whiskey oak barrel but is missing the whiskey. Backed by the citrus hops and toasted malts. More of a cocktail flavor in the aftertaste.
A little thinner than medium mouth feel. Very good carbonation.
If asked what this beer reminds one of, a good answer is an Old Fashioned cocktail, but is missing the bitters and whiskey. As an IPA, the cherry and orange add a distinctive touch. Even the appearance looks like an Old Fashioned.

Beautiful amber orange color. The flavor of this is exceptional. Lots of orange and cherry complemented by the hops. Actually tastes like an old fashioned in beer, but with little whiskey flavor. Almost no bitterness. Yummy!
