On tap at the brewpub in Portland.

Pour was black and opaque with ruby-brown edges. A durable tan head left streaks of sticky lacing.

Aroma: slightly strong for style, with hints of cocoa nibs, coffee and burnt toast.

Flavor: Fortunately, there's far less burnt/char quality in the flavor than in the nose. Black coffee kicks in for the lingering, roasty aftertaste.

Feel: near full bodied with lively, medium carbonation.

O: Decent, dark-roasted version of the style.

Had this on-tap at Migration Brewing.

A: Dark brown, very dark in color

S: Some coffee and chocolate aroma

T: Dry, sort of roasty. The malty backbone really excells where other parts of the beer don't.

M: Thin and not quite chewy. I had some high expectations for this beer. It did go down smooth, but not very thick like a good porter should be.

D: Probably won't drink this beer again.

Terry's Porter in a shaker pint, on tap at Migration.

Pours black with a small tan head and light carbonation. Smell is chocolate and roast, a little coffee. Archetypical porter smell.

Taste is good. Roasty, chocolate, coffee. A well-executed example of a standard porter.

Mouthfeel is slightly gritty, rich and smooth otherwise. This is a good porter.
