Tap at Peppercorns during the 4th Anniversary party.
Very light fizzy head, fades instantly, dark murky molasses brown color.
Nose big sour brown, soured fermented raisins, little sour cherry fruit, some vanilla barrel and tart berry, mild sour lactic notes, malt vinegar.
Taste very sour, sour brown malts, tart as Hell, lots of malt vinegar and acetic acid. Mild brown malt note, soured brown malt, with lots of lacto sour flavours, pedio and Brett funk, but all blended nicely with a hint of barrel. Mild tart sour fruit, little sour cherry and berry like, and hint of vinous note. Finish is big sharp acidic bite, sticky flemmy, sour and tart.
Mouth is med bod, decent carb, big acidic bite.
Overall really good. Great blended sour Flanders, almost every aspect is very well done. Wow Ben & company, I never figured you guys for a Flanders or sour, and this was awesome! Please do more!
