16 oz can.

Pours a lightly cloudy pale gold color with 2 fingers of creamy off-white head. Lots of sediment floating around like turds in a punch bowl. Excellent head retention and exceptional lacing.

Aromas of toasted grains and cracked pepper followed by some tangerines and grapefruit. A bit of pineapple and peach with some herbal, grassy hops on the back.

The flavor follows the nose, adding a strong caramel malt backbone. Finishes grassy and bitter.

Medium-full bodied with low carbonation. Relatively soft and extremely slick. Alcohol is definitely present.

Overall this is a pretty good "Triple" IPA. It's surprisingly malt forward with a more subtle finishing touch of bitter hops. A bit on the sweet side, but far enough away from "cloying". Worth your time if you enjoy higher ABV IPA's. Otherwise you might want to just stick to the OG.

Pours a hazy yellow with a tall fizzy head that diminishes quickly.

Smells of pine and grapefruit. Tastes of the same with a mildly peppery bitter finish. Is a brut in a world of semi sweet NEIPA's.

Medium / light body with medium carbonation. The high alcohol level is well hidden.

Excellent beer! Happy to have run into this local brewery!

A: cloudy; medium gold in color; 1+ finger ivory head that receded to a wispy cap; OK lacing;

S: an interesting mix of garlic, herbal, and tropical fruit;

T: quite herbal at the outset; grassy from the middle through the mild to moderately bitter finish;

M: medium bodied; moderate carbonation; dry finish; hides the ABV dangerously well;

O: quite hoppy - that balanced the sweetness nicely;

Gifted a while back and hung out in the fridge for too long maybe, 10/9/19 canning. Pours a beautiful slightly hazy golden with a thick, dense pillow atop that retains and fades very slowly leaving some decent lacing. Aromas are of candied citrus rind, some ripe fruits, and slight booze. Flavors are better and nicely balanced by a malt character that is spot-on - not too sweet nor cloying, but levels the acrid rind notes that I don't much enjoy. Full mouthfeel and a semi-sweet finish. Big yet quite drinkable.

Pour out of a 16 fl. oz. can dated 10/9/19. Sampled on 11/9/19.

The appearance is a cloudy, murky looking amber-yellow with modest, lasting white head. Some sedimentary deposits too.

Notable aroma of tropical fruit, fruit, pine, and citrus. All those glorious hop characters. There is also this rather oddball cocoa thing. Maybe my imagination. White bread too.

The body is medium to full and smooth.

I cannot say that this is a sweet beer but it certainly has a powerful bitterness that wraps up the experience and lingers at the end. Some of the fruity characters of the aroma are not as evident in the taste. No booze for 10.7%.

Canned on 10/9/19

Pours a moderately hazy burnt orange body capped with a few fingers of soapy white foam; very good retention yields a thin but frothy collar and multiple layers of stringy lacing.

Aromas of sweet candied pineapple, dank peach, and tangerine are at the forefront, with resinous pine and grass quickly taking over; flaky malt interspersed throughout.

Taste shows more dank pineapple and plenty of fruity, resinous saturation across the profile; boozy herbal hops, raw pine and grass develop and dominate as the finish forms.

Mouthfeel features a medium body with subtle lighter carbonation; semi-oily with a minor hop grit and flaky malt crispness along the palate; slightly boozy, bitter bite into the finish.

A standard burly TIPA offering dealing primarily in intensity and developing marginally from there; boozy, bitter, and touches of sweeter tropical tones. The overall product is just fine, but could use some smoothing out, both in alcohol heat and flavor definition.

Poured into a 13 oz Funk Brewing Teku. Pours a slightly foggy dark orange with a 3 finger sticky slightly off white head that leaves thick gobs of lace all over the place. 4.5

Smell is tangerine, pine, papaya, blueberry, and grapefruit rind. 4.5

Taste follows tangerine, pine, blueberry, papaya, and some bitter grapefruit but actually balanced nicely. 4.5

Mouthfeel is bigger than most, plenty of life, a tad dry and slightly sticky, and at 10.7% extremely approachable. 4.5

Overall this is a very nice TIPA East and West Coast influence, in your face the entire time and that is not a complaint. 4.5

Picked-up a four-pack of cans at Long Ridge Wine and Spirits for about fourteen dollars. My third brew reviewed from these guys, have had a few more. Be Hoppy is my go-to affordable IPA, but I usually do not like beers above ~ 9. Absolutely loved this, tastes delicious, not too boozy at all.

A- Tallboy into a goblet with a slightly hazed deep golden yellow body and a creamy white cap. The thick head shoots up to an inch high with good retention before falling to a small ring that leaves webs of lacing.

S- A bold citrus hop aroma up front that both packs the strength but also has subtlety to the fruitiness presented. Grapefruit is ripe and fresh with the zesty oils and fresh fruit tones supported by oranges, tangerine, floral hops, pine, grass, and a few softer things like mango and pineapple. Just hints at sweets and considering the ABV that is an accomplishment.

T- Picks up with the intensity on the palate as the grapefruit flavor and characteristic citrus peel bitterness from the hops becomes a monster. Tons of zesty ruby red grapefruit oil and flesh leading into tangerine, bubble gum, mango, pineapple, pine resin, floral hops, dank bitter herbs, peach and papaya. A good mix of bold bitter citrus with slight soft stone fruit. A moderate sweetness and some booziness but the hops are impressively fresh and forward.

MF- Creamy and luscious texture to the thick bodied brew. Really just soft, smooth and pillowy on the palate. Ends warm and very bitter but there is enough sweetness and body to balance out that bitterness.

Just randomly saw this four pack on the shelf one day and enjoyed it over a month or so. For the ABV it is truly impressive and that can't be stated enough. Getting a smooth hoppy flavor without a ton of interfering sugar is tough at this ABV and this one packs a ton of citrus with pine and stone fruit support. Would love to see this one around again.
