A surprisingly delightful ‘tropical’ beer. Supposedly a lager with added mango purée, but could have fooled me - tastes like a light, citrusy ale.

Appearance is moderately hazy, pale yellow. Smell is forward but not overpowering pineapple and mango.

Taste is a delicious citrus mix, lemon, pineapple, mango, and a hint of tangerine.

Feel is a little light, but perfect for a hot summer day.

Overall, a great beer for warm weather. Like a mango and pineapple oriented Radler. Delightful, a beer to have more than one.

Thanks to BPK59 for sharing this a while back. Reviewed from notes.

A - Poured a nice hazy dark golden orange with a nice almost two finger head that fades to leave light lacing and a thin halo.

S - Aromas of nice bright tropical fruits, little pineapple, nice tangerine. Get some pepper fruitiness as well as some light heat.

T - Taste is similar to the nose with some nice pineapple and decent tangerine juice/zest. Nice light fruity pepper notes before lending way to some decent heat/burn. Good habanero notes as well.

M - Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, crisp and clean, though body is a bit thin.

O - Overall this was a very enjoyable beer with a nice blend of tropical fruits, citrus, and habanero. Would be great in the summer!

9/27/17 bottling date

A: Pours a very pale and very cloudy orange. Enormous frothy tan head on top. Great head retention and quite a bit of lacing everywhere as it fades away.

S: Lots of tropical fruits. Pineapple, tangerine, mango for sure. Kinda burny too.

T: Hoppy up front but fairly mildly. Sweet tropical fruits with that mango really standing out. Light, crackery malt with a grainy wheaty flavor (I don't know if it actually has wheat in it). Kinda get a chalky vegetal pepper flavor on the back end but no noticeable heat.

M: Lighter bodied, smooth.

O: Nice IPL. Great tropical flavors but it's kinda a letdown that there's basically no habanero in it. I was looking forward to that aspect.

This looks really interesting, first a lager, second with all the interesting flavors, third because it's the first time I've had a beer in bottle from them before having it at the brewery (since I moved farther away). Bottled 9/27/17

Pours a nice fluffy bubbly 1 finger head that fades slowly, sticky lacing, murky hazy golden orange color

Nose is loaded with mango, tons of mango puree, as well as some orange juice and tangerine, a little papery pulp and some wheat base, doughy malt too

Taste brings more mango out front, mango flesh with a bit of the stringy part near the skin, some citrus again, a little orange tangerine like, a bit of a creamy wheat, raw wheat and doughy malt, mild to fair bitterness, a little peachy stone fruit, lots of wheat dough almost like papery pulp in the orange juice, soft creamy malt like a NEIPA but not really lager notes, and where is the habanero?

Mouth is med to lighter bod, soft doughy feeling like an NEIPA but not really lager, fluffy carb, very faint pepper heat in the background and super late.

Overall eh, it has some nice characters, but like I mentioned it's not really lager like feel, or at least the rest of the beer overpowers and destroys and lager notes, and where is the habanero? Hops were nice, malts/wheat was OK, I kinda felt like this was a gimmicky beer thrown together to make it like an NEIPA. However, it's still tasty and enjoyable, just misses on some of the things it should have delivered.
