Big pillowy foamy head good retention great lacing, hazy burnt orange tan color
Nose mild sweet gristy doughy malt, plenty of citrus, orange, coriander like spice, hint of fruity bubblegum esters, creamy doughy wheat, bitter orange rind
Taste creamy doughy wheat, more phenol spices like coriander, orange and grapefruit peel, citrus, mild fruity pome fruit like esters in the background, like pear, medium bitter spicy earthy hops, wheat brings a touch of vanilla cream, lingering bitterness
Mouth is med bodied, medium creamy carb
Overall not bad, little too hoppy imo but typical for Americanized saison, phenols could come though a bit more, citrus is a little too orange zest like than citrus esters, otherwise not bad

Enjoyed on tap at the brewery
ninth anniversary party.
A - Poured into a pint a nice hazy golden orange hue with a thin white head that fades to leave light wisps and lacing.
S - Aromas of doughy malts and flashes of citrus peel. Rather sweet on the nose with flashes of coriander.
T - Taste is similar to the nose with loads of doughy malts and esters, loads of orange and citrus peel. Sweet but not overly cloy. Good light bitterness.
M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, little creamy. Good body.
O - Overall this was a decent enough saison, nothing really popped on it. The phenols and addition of citrus peel makes it way too hoppy and bitter on the finish
