Canned 2023/06/09
Pours a fluffy pillowy 1 finger head with moderate retention, a bit of lacing, mostly clear slight chill haze golden tan color
Nose big cereal grain, grainy-sweet doughy, straw, some corn, then some mild floral hops that get bright with citrus as well, grassy floral citrusy hops even more as it warms
Taste starts with hops out front, med bitterness, floral and a bit herbal turning spicy, noble like at first, then turning fruity and citrusy, sweet orange peel, lemongrass, a bit flowery and herbal tea like, some malts in the background, cereal grainy doughy malt, touch of corn, straw, dry crisp finish with med-high spicy hop bitterness
Mouth is med to a bit lighter bod, soft lager, med frothy carb, a hint of astringency on the finish
Overall not bad, there are parts I really like and parts not as much, malts and basic lager were nice when you could get them, the hops were good but would have been better limited and not overpowering everything, this went from a nice Czech-like pilsner to almost IPA level
