Gorgeous red-cherry color, tan head has large bubbles and good stick. Translucent.
Aromas are fusel alcohol byproducts, calling to mind dried tart apples and boozy cherries. Flavor is more of the same, quite a velvety smooth ride. Fermented afterflavor, finish is a little tart.
The mouthfeel is unbelievably smooth, like whipped butter in the mouth, as though it is dissolving. It gets to be a bit much after a while, as it's not particularly refreshing to drink a cask ale, and the fruit also dries out the finish.
Really terrific extreme style beer, and well worth the glass.
