Cocodrie is Cajun-French for alligator and this Belgian/New England style IPA is stuffed with enough hops to stand up to a sauce piquant prepared with one. Our double-dry hopped IPA combines the unique fruit and spicy esters of a Belgian yeast with the hazy citrus flavors of a hoppy New England IPA.

12 oz bottle, no date, smokestack snifter
Hazy juicy creamy whipped blonde color with a tall 2 finger head receding to 1 finger with lots of lace up the sides.
Aromas of mint and lemon and grapefruit ice cream; some evergreen and other peppery sharp herbal shades, spearmint, syrupy walnuts, and nutty malt.
Flavor is grapefruit, pepper, mint, spearmint, grapefruit juice, doughy pale malt, slight paper; the mint continues throughout the profile and ends slightly grassy, peppery, and on old thyme.
Feel is juicy and acidic, soaking into the palate with great acidity. Great carbonation, mild warming alcohol.
Overall, very very good, I"ll probably go back for a few more, even though the mint is kinda weird.

$2.49 USD plus tax for a 12 fl oz brown glass bottle at a Whole Paycheck in New Orleans, LA.
Cannabis-like hop flavours, mango...this is big on myrcene. Pale malts. Floral hops. Balanced with a soft mouthfeel.
Smooth, wet, refreshing, medium-bodied. Well-carbonated.
Drinkable and enjoyable, disguising its alcohol quite deftly. Not a standout in the category nor a successful marriage of Belgian tripel and American IPA in my book (it barely tries for a true Belgian character at all), but it's pleasant enough for what it is. A bit simple and shallow to really compete with the greats, but I couldn't see anyone hating it.
