L- Ultra-deep chestnut. Pours with thin tan head that swiftly clears to lacing.
S- Roasty-toasty with hints of coffee.
T- Boom, the taste follows the smell! A deep roasted flavour, with a feint hint of coffee, there is also a hint of deep dark fruit.
F- It has a depth and intensity plus a richness that is surprising from 'just' 5.0%. Blind-tasted I'd need little pursuading that it is say 6.0%.
O- I was rather cynical that a 5% beer could be described as a 'Winter warmer' but no longer. This absolutely is such, and ideal for anyone who wants all the flavour and impact of one without mega-ABV%. I can't find anything out of place or balance here at all. This is really impressive, and I'd very happily buy it again.
500ml bottle, bought from BeerOfEurope/UK. BBE: April-2020.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
