$ 6.99 (Including shipping)/16 oz can ($ 0.437/oz) from Tavour, Seattle, WA. Reviewed 8/8/19.
“CANNED ON 06/05/19” on bottom. Stored upside-down at 42 degrees and served at 42 degrees in a hand-washed and dried Jester King snifter.
Appearance – 4.
First pour – Light yellow, clear.
Body – light yellow-orange, clear.
Head – Large (Maximum 7.2 cm, aggressive center pour), white, medium density, short duration, diminishing to a four to eight mm lacy crown and a thin rocky partial cap.
Lacing – None. Since the ABV is 9.1 % (Marked in the can), this is not totally unexpected.
Aroma – 4 - Initial burst of grapefruit which morphs into grass.
Flavor – 4.25 - Begins bitter like a grapefruit mesocarp with little of the grapefruit flavor promised by the nose. Instead, it’s grassy and herbaceous. No malt tones. No alcohol (9.1 % ABV) flavor or aroma, no dimethylsulfide, no diacetyl.
Palate – 3.5 – Thin, watery, lively carbonation.
Final impression and summation – 4.25 - I drank a couple of cans (same batch) around the end of July and remember this as being more citrus-juicy so maybe this just doesn’t hold up or maybe it’s jealous that I left it to drink Heady Topper in VT. Anyway, it’s still damn good, just not as juicy as my short-term memory remembers.

Very clear and bright amber body; plenty of slow-rising carbonation bubbles; decent one-finger thick head. Rich aroma blending malt and a general spiciness; peppery. Well-balanced taste; mild, biscuit malt malt with a peppery hop bitterness; pine resin. Medium-heavy body; oily; dry with some lingering heat.
This beer is a decent, journeyman quality imperial IPA. One definitely gets the alcohol presence but it is generally offset with some good malt presence and hop bitterness. Nice stuff...

Palate Contaminants: none
Look is a nice medium amber with lots of fine off-white head. Slightly opaque.
The smell is a bit marmalade and a bit peach. There's also some graininess that renders the whole thing like some sort of pastry. Sweetness is moderate, and there's a hint of undetermined tree bark. I just wish it was a little stronger.
The taste is pretty rich with earthen flavors, and it's certainly very malty. Marmalade gives way to tea, moss, non-smoky peat, and even more bark (some sort of broadleaf tree). Light stone fruit are somewhere in the background, but there's not a single one that stands out. The sweetness is certainly cranked up, and there's a bit of floralness. Bitterness is detectable, but it never overwhelms.
Medium feel, and there's less than average carbonation for the type. The sweetness hangs around quite a bit.

Poured from a bomber into a Dogfish Head tulip
L: Mostly clear medium golden pour. Two fingers of foamy white head. Great lacing.
S: Dank tropical fruits... mango and citrus... slight pine/evergreen.
T/F: Rich malts form the backbone with a tropical and fruity hop profile. Definite mango, papaya, and citrus. Bready with a bit of spice. Warming... well carbonated and medium in body. Finish is sticky citrus.
O: An outstanding DIPA. This could be an everyday drinker if it was even remotely available on the East Coast. Definitely a treat to snag a bottle.
