I had this on-tap in a pint glass at Special Brews in Lynnwood, WA.
Appearance: very dark brown hue with little to no haze. Head is a finger of tan foam leaving a nice lace on the glass. A beautiful mild!
Smell: caramel and toffee aroma with a little bit of a twang. Nicely roasty as well; it's a good aroma for a mild, but that twang is slightly fruity and really sets the whole thing off. I like it quite a lot.
Taste: very much like the aroma. It's got a little more chocolate and toffee character than the aroma. Again, the twang is there, which I rather like.
Mouthfeel: light body with a decent carbonation and a good feel, although not richly creamy. I still like it, though.
Overall: a very good mild of which I'd be glad to quaff gallons.
