Whoa, a bit of a gusher! 22oz bottle poured into 14oz teku. Poured very lively, a large, rocky, just off-white head that had great retention and light lacing. As it settled into beer, it was a very cloudy brownish amber color. The beer remained lively throughout the bottle.
Great malt and yest scents dominated the nose. Very similar on the tongue; nicely spicy yeasts, earthy grains, and, perhaps?, a bit of smoke. Whatever, there is definitely a spicy kick in there. Lots of carbonation carried throughout the bottle, and carried well across the tongue, keeping the flavors nicely activated.
The body was was smooth and had a semi-dry finish. Drinkability was very good, I wanted another bottle. Overall, a very nice brew. You can only get bottles at the brewery, and likely there's no more of this one left, but I strongly suspect that whatever vintage you get will be very enjoyable.

Poured from 22oz bomber into a dimpled mug.
Appearance: medium brown hue with a moderate haze and a finger of pillowy tan foam; quite appropriate to the style.
Smell: quite a lot of buscuity malt aroma and a bit of a spiciness as well. Not too bad, although biscuit is not my favorite malt character.
Taste: biscuity malt with a rather dry finish. The dryness makes this beer seem rather light, despite the 6.8% ABV. Not bad, but again, biscuit is hardly my favorite.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good carbonation and a rather decent creaminess.
Overall: despite the fact that this beer contains a flavor element that I don't particularly like, it is very refreshing and drinkable, I think due to its overall dryness. An interesting brew.
