473ml can served cold into a chalice. Purchased form the brewery. Canned January 16, 2025.
Appearance - Dark cola brown with a uniform finger and a half of tan head. Pretty good head retention and nice frothy appearance.
Smell - Roasty aspects, hints of dark chocolate and maybe the slightest nod to cherry. Gives black forest cake vibes.
Taste - Plenty of roasty hints of dark chocolate, some breadiness and a touch of nuttiness.
Mouthfeel - Medium full bodied and slick. Does finish pretty dry.
Overall - Honestly, a very quality porter and well worth having. I wish this was a regular feature because it does hold up well with comparable porters say like Clifford's or Stranger than Fiction from Collective Arts. Good brew.
