Medium: Capped, around 2 years old.
Opacity: Almost opaque.
Color: Black with a slight copper hue.
Head: None/Very weak.
Legs: Poor but good lacing and swirl reaction.
Smell: Liquorice/Vanilla/Toffee.
Taste: Plums/Molasses/Herbal.
Feel: Spicy/Chalky/Sypury/Estery.
Body: Medium to full smooth while oily.
Carbonation: Average but fits for the style.
Overall: Very rich in sugars, makes a nice winter warmer. Not as complex as a true Belgian Flanders, more closer to a Dubbel. Good quality.

8% ABV, says so on the chalkboard.
Appearance is ordinary, this isn't bad but nothing to blow your mind off. The head is almost not existent. A very nice smell, a little bit complex. Taste is sweet and funky... I like this. It is a complex beer taste wise. Somewhat acidic in the mouth. The mouthfeel is good too, medium body beer.
Drinkability is great.

This beer was not available all the times. But when you to at the Barberie, if you see Claymore on tap, take a pint right away before they ran out! La Barberie change receipe very often but usually this one still good.
Sometimes you think it's an easy version of barleywine, but it's hard to define. This beer is complex and need attention when you taste it.

This was an awesome beer that was very godenband like and definately in the oud-bruin style of brew. This was a dark chalky brown colour with a nice white head that died quite quickly. The aroma is of chalky sweet malts, sour apple cider, lambic funk and more. The taste is quite sour, lactic, and acidic as all hell. The mouthfeel is very acidic, and acrid, and the drinkability is very nice as well. Wow, if this is Barberies attempt at a stronger version of goudenbad....they nailed it perfectly!
