180ml taster at the Clarens Beer Festival.
Served chilled in the festival tasting tulip.
6,5% Abv.
Appearance: Clear, golden body topped by a small white head that lasts acceptably, but leaves very little lace.
Smell: Stale grain, apples, pears, light overripe fruit and a hint of skunk are about all that is on offer here - very disappointing.
Taste: I thought the nose on this one was very average, however the flavour seems a little worse and is bordering on poor!
Stale grain, skunk and ripe golden fruit are all that is noted.
Mouthfeel: Light, almost water body (odd for a 6,5% beer) with a moderate level of carbonation.
Overall: Honestly, I hope Naughty Walloon stays a once off brew - I certainly would not buy it again.
