Draft at the source.
A- Mostly clear medium golden pour from the tap to a pint glass. A small creamy white head forms to half a finger falling slowly to a medium belt around the top. Wide sheets of lace after each sip.
S- Really not a whole lot of strength here to be honest. Faint Saison yeast and a bit of the herbal gin barrel. Lemon peel, gun herbs and pale fruits.
T- Reminds me mostly of an herbal and fruity gin mixed drink finished off with a strong tonic water. Medium gin up front with a hint of oak, anise, lemon zest, pale fruit esters, coriander, dry spirits, pink pepper and cooking herbs.
MF- Creamy and silky smooth medium body and a moderate level of carbonation. Ends very dry with a pepper and herbal bitterness, think gin.
Pretty good mix of gin barrel and Saison but the aggressive Saison yeast seems to reject the advances of the herbal gin. Amazing for a $6 pint but needs a bit more balance and cohesion.
