This one pours a hazy-ish golden yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

This smells like funky and slightly sweet pineapple, fruity tea, citrusy funk, and some grassiness.

I can’t say that I’m exactly a pineappleweed expert, but this definitely does seem to give this a pleasantly herbal and floral taste, and an obvious tropical pineapple vibe, and a nice citrusy and herbal funk. It’s kind of simple, but very tasty all the same.

This is pretty drinkable, mostly clean, with very little acidity.

This was one of the bottles in this series that most intrigued me, and it was definitely a fun little treat to try.

A- Mostly clear golden pour from the 375ml to a chalice. A small creamy white head rises to a finger high with decent retention falling to a small ring at the edges. A few patches of lace on the glass.

S- Funky farmhouse Hill Farmstead base bugs hinting at just a bit of tartness and fruits. An herbal tea hint comes out and coriander also comes to mind.

T- Opens up a bit more and the pineappleweed compoment seems to come to life with an interesting herbal, pineapple and limey type note joining the tart HF home Saison base. Coriander, pear, apple, lemon, citrus zest and lactic acid all complimentary.

MF- Light overall body with a medium-high carbonation and a foamy frothy texture. High end carbonation level and a tart finish.

Seems like a classic HF tart Saison base with a unique herbal and zesty presence possibly from the pineappleweed.

375ml bottle poured into a Jester King Zwanze Day Geuze tumbler.

A~ light glowing yellow, hazy with a slight head and a little lacing.

S~ lots of lemon, slight soap but in a good way... some how? haha and some brett funk on the back end.

T~ really love this Pineappleweed flavor! whatever it might be... OH I GOT IT! Chamomile!!! tons of chamomile, floral, lemony tartness and a little wine barrel funk. nice!

M~ great carb, smooth and refreshing!

O~ it took me a while to put my finger on exactly what Pineappleweed tasted like. (not knowing exactly what it was of course haha!) i'm loving the newer herbal/floral renditions of this series!

375ml bottle, stamped July 25, 2016 on the front, poured into a Hill Farmstead oversized wine glass. Enjoyed on 1.8.2017, reviewed from Tasting Journal.

The beer pours a golden copper color, hazy and cloudy with orange hues, a finger of white head, no retentio and spots of lace. The aroma is very herbal and floral, almost a bit medicinal, lightly fruity with pale grain and saison base, a touch of oak lingers. The flavors are herbal, floral and fruity, light oak, bright and delicate saison base but as it warms, the chamomile and herbal qualities of this beer just really take over. The mouthfeel is nice, creamy and coating, medium body, lively carbonation that still remains gentle with a lightly tart finish.

Verdict: A decent beer from Hill Farmstead, very herbal and medicinal from the pineappleweed. It is soft and somewhat refreshing and the balance is nice, but the adjuncts really take over and diminish this one. The December 4, 2015 LoG had a really pleasant chamomile character but this one is just over the top.

Bottled 016 10 19 and served in a HF tulip. Pours a pale, straw gold with a fluffy, one inch, bright white head. Nose expresses hints of green apple, grass and some light herbal notes. Taste is really quite interesting - soft on the palate with notes of chamomile and lemon. Mouthfeel is light in body with an easy, even carbonation and a slight astringency. I wasn't really sure what to expect from pineapple weed, but what a delicious farmhouse. Not funky and complex, but soothing and pleasant.

375 mL bottle. Hazy orange. Small white head. Thin collar. Smells of white wine, oak, and whatever pineapple weed smells like. I just read that it smells like pineapple and chamomile, which now, of course, I get in the nose. Tastes of oak, citrus, and a nice sourness. The pineapple weed comes back in the finish with a woody and earthy flavor. Like tree bark. Light body with medium low carbonation. I think I’m the only one in our tasting group who liked this. It’s a flavor I have no experienced.
