Had this at Hill Farmstead in October 2019. If they make a hoppy beer that is less than very good, I haven't had it.
Anyways, expectations run high for my favorite hop from one of my favorite breweries. Looking at my notes, I gave it a 5 in appearance. Just had that full 1" of head, bright yellow/light orange color, replete with substantial haze. Aroma is heavy Nelson dank, weed, humid equatorial musty grape sexy hippie girl body odor garlic like notes.
Taste keeps chipping away, tastes and smells like a concert. Ripe to overripe cantelope notes. Low bitterness but just a pungent dankness all over it. The mouth feel is contrasting, its a soft body, but well carbonated, but man just the dank comes hard, but so easy to drink. Doesn't have the green vegetal almost acidic hop burn of some wet hop or harvest hop beers. Just another elite tier offering. I would buy this shit by the case if given the opportunity. Get it.

12 oz. can.
Moderate to vigorous pour yields a one inch white head over a hazy, yellow body with some lacing. Nose of citrus, slight sauvignon blanc grapes, bread, and a bit of tropical fruit. Taste mirrors nose somewhat and exhibits somewhat more for your taste buds to latch onto. All flavors meld together very smoothly with a crisp, dry finish of the aforementioned grapes and a bit of citrus. Nice feel and overall a real nice, delicious, and sessionable beer. Cheers to the crew in Greensboro Bend, VT!

12oz can, Hill Farmstead willi becher glass. Pours a fairly hazy golden yellow body, one finger white head, good retention, plenty of lacing. Smell is reasonably resinous, mild sugary caramel, light grain, big Nelson spice, fairly resinous. Nice leafy resin, not as tropical fruit-forward as other Nelson beers I've had. Flavour follows, with more resin and grain coming through, good balance of zesty and spicy Nelson, not as much of the tropical fruit as I'm accustomed to from the hop. Medium bodied, crushable, mild spicy resin on the finish. A great daily Nelson, if you will.

this is mind blowing, tons of flavor considering the low abv. has a lush sweet and bready character throughout, grassy and slightly herbal earthy notes, lemon, orange, white grape, hinting at peach and mango, some slightly spicy pine. wow, what a cool single hop expression, definitely a distinct profile to this one!

12 oz. canned 03/18/19
Pours hazy yellow gold with a creamy white foam head. Smells like gooseberries, white grape white wine, lemongrass floral spice. Taste follows with big white grape, gooseberries, white wine, lemongrass spice, floral earthy herbal, with a biscuity malt sweetness. Feels medium bodied, soft smooth and creamy with moderate low carbonation. Overall a really nice late harvest Nelson hopped pale ale.

On tap at the brewery on the Wednesday they released cans of this brew for the first time.
Pours a hazy yellow, thick and tight small bubbled head sticks around for a while and leaves a ton of sticky lacing on the sides of my glass.
Aroma is grassy, grape, resinous. The common white wine grape characteristic is present, but not overpowering.
Flavor has layer of crisp citrus, some herbal and grassy flavors and a presence of wine grape. Smooth and balanced flavors blend together. Earthy and fruity at the same time.
Moderate carbonation and a soft, just under medium body.
Excellent flavors, balanced and refined. Nothing out of place or nothing overpowering. Base brew allows the hop to take center stage but not be the only thing you taste.
