Ages ago, our dear friend Bim Lafontaine traveled from Japan to brew with us the inaugural batch of Brother Soigné, a collaboration that we continue to produce in the spirit of that visit.
A small portion of a subsequent batch was aged atop raspberry, cherry and northern kiwifruit pomace for nearly 3 months. The result honors both the legacy of that first brew day and the satisfaction of exploration.

Bottle: Poured a pale yellow color ale with a large off-white foamy head. Aroma of tart notes with light funky Brett notes with some cherry notes and light apple notes also noticeable. Taste is a great mix of fruit notes with raspberry and cherry being most noticeable and some tart notes, light oak and funky notes also perceptible. Body is about average with good carbonation. Solid mix of complexity with good drinkability.

This one pours a slightly hazy golden orange color, with a foamy head, and lots of lacing.
This is so fresh and clean on the nose. The citrus and lime still come through, even with the added fruits. The kiwi plays well with the lime - each amplifying the others. The raspberry and cherry are less apparent on the nose.
The raspberry and cherry are subtle here, with more of a pit/skin flavor than a pure juice bomb sort of experience. The kiwi is the strongest flavor of the added fruits, and gives a nice zesty funk. That classic citrusy barn funk is here. This is incredibly refreshing.
This is light bodied, clean and citrusy, with a great level of drinkability.
This is a really cool update to an already great beer.
