Furthering our exploration of microclimate terroir and the symbiosis of commonly sourced ingredients, we blended bourbon barrel-aged Everett and Genealogy of Morals, then aged the blend atop single-origin Guatemalan cacao nibs and Finca Vista Hermosa Natural, sourced from Guatemala by our friends at The Coffee Collective in Copenhagen, Denmark. These friends long ago changed our world-view as to what coffee could be and continue to deeply influence us here at Hill Farmstead.

Bottle purchased July 5

Look: Pours a beautiful dark brown/black, with a dark brown head

Smell: get barrel first followed by rich chocolate, not much coffee

Taste: where this beer really surpassed expectations. Rich fudge, espresso - coffee and chocolate play beautifully

Feel: pretty close to ideal. Great medium/thick body without getting close to overly viscous

Overall: again, high expectations surpassed. Had a world class stout hours before this, first sip put this neck and neck

This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a small head, and not much lacing.

This one smells like caramel, dark chocolate fudge, molasses, spice, roasty coffee, bourbon, and oak.

This has a crazy good pedigree to it - BA Everett and Genealogy of Morals, plus fancy coffee and cocoa nibs? It's gonna be real good. There's some definitely caramel and slightly spicy molasses-type flavors here, with more traditional chocolatey and roasty coffee flavors as well. There's not a ton of barrel, but there is a touch of oak that helps ground everything.

This is medium bodied, silky, and slightly undercarbed, with no booziness at all. It's quite drinkable.

This is obviously exceptional - fishing with dynamite here. There was no chance this'd be bad.
