White head. Lace. Clear straw yellow.
Honey saison with a nice spice and fruity hop profile. Zesty and citrusy. Grapefruit, orange, herbal notes. Floral. Light bitterness. Very flavorful, very light and easy drinking, complex. Big fan.

This one pours a hazy golden yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like white wine, honey, wheat, lemon, lime, hay, and oak.
I don't know what this one tasted like fresh, but it's still got a solid hop character to it, even a few years later. The Motueka imparts that sort of classic lemon/lime/citrus sort of thing it's known for. There's a bit more acidity than Anna typically has, for whatever reason, with a sweet citrusy and hay-like funk, with some honey and wheat like crispness - even though I don't believe Anna has wheat?
This is light bodied, crisp, pretty clean, and very drinkable, with a pleasant acidity.
This isn't better than regular old Anna, which is one of the best saisons in the world. Nonetheless, it's a fun update to a classic recipe.

L: gentle pour yielding a three finger head that disappeared slowly leaving a 1/2 finger of meringue frosting looking head
S: only slightly funky lemon
T: dry, bright and citrus with the hoppiness lingering after the sip
F: light and crisp

375 mL bottle. Clear yellow. Smells of oak, yeasty funk, bright lemon and citrus, and a little grain. Tastes of bright lemon and citrus. Oak. Grainy and mineral malt flavor. Some floral notes in the back end. Crisp and well carbonated. Not sure I could really distinguish this from regular Anna, but Anna never disappoints anyway.

Split with JLindros. Review #3900
A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice slightly hazy golden straw hue with a thick one finger white head that fades to leave light a thin blanket.
S - Big aromas of honey and funky farmhouse notes. Loads of fragrant hops, good tropical hops, nice lemons and tartness. Good bright funky horse blanket.
T - Taste is similar to the nose with loads of bright hops, good lemon as well. Nice tart citrus, good funky saison notes. Tons of lemon and vibrant New Zealand hops, however, the honey is pretty much non existent.
M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, finish is a bit flemmy.
O - Overall this was a solid enough saison, however, the hops completely overpowered the honey elements of this saison.

Thanks to rudzud
Pours a large fluffy pillowy head, great retention and lacing, semi hazy straw blond color
Nose big farmhouse funky like, grassy hay, little straw, floral with fruity hop notes, lemony grassy with fruity esters, little floral phenols, grape skin
Taste doughy malt, grainy grassy, touch of creamy wheat, tart lemony, farmhouse funk and mild acidity, floral grassy hops with fruity citrus, little winey white grape skin, light bitterness, drier finish with lingering lemony and floral spicy hop
Mouth is med bod, fizzy high carb, effervescent, light flemmy acidity
Overall not bad but the hops seem to detract from the beer a bit, but good enjoyable beer

Anna complimented. Base beer still stands strong with a touch of less tartness replaced with a softer and rounder mouthfeel. Not sure why I’d be surprised but the Motueka blends seamlessly and arguably creates a slight improvement to what is alone a stellar and timeless saison.
