12 oz. can. Hazy orange. Smells quite pungent. Zippy acidic fruits, lime, passion fruit, and some tropical fruits. Tastes of sweet tropical fruits up front. Oaty and chewy malt profile. Acidic fruits kick back up in the back end. Medium heavy, but tasty enough to not slow me down. Very nice.

On tap at Armsby. Happy to see it down here bc I almost made the drive to HF from Montpelier a couple weeks ago when I was up north for a ski trip. Can’t pass up a beer with NZ hop varietals, my favorite of any around the world. The usual deliciousness but kicked up a notch. Grassy, pungent, loads of tropical fruit, dank, earthy. I imagine the country of NZ to be as amazing as their hops; can’t wait to visit. Has that soft, amazing body and feel you expect from HF but elevated with this style and their base beer interpretation. Just a joy to drink. Not sure how a DIPA can get much better. This is approaching an art form; maybe it already is....

Wanted to like this as much the other Hill offerings, but for my taste, Motueka might make a good hop for a blend, but by itself, a pretty boring hop variety with not much going on in the way of tropical fruit or piney bitterness. Let's see a Double Rakau!

On tap at Three Penny in Montpelier
Really nice exhibition of motueka and its unique aromas and flavors of papaya, guava, citronella, and sweet basil. Soft and easy drinking, I'm becoming more and more convinced that Hill Farmstead cannot make a bad beer

candied pineapple, bubblegum, cotton candy, mandarin orange, pulpy OJ, some hints of mango and peach, malty sweetness throughout, a grainy flavor that reminds me of what I smelled when I walked into the brewery, a nice cool minty herbaceous quality and subtle hit of piney bitterness. incredibly smooth and balanced, a wonderful melange of flavor.
