From a growler purchased at HF. The beer pours like a typical dark rich stout, not much of a head. The There are a lot of things going on as I smell it but the predominant scent is that of coffee with a tiny hint of alcohol. The mouthfeel is creamy and smooth with decadent feel all the way through. Coffer flavors are prominent with a noticable roast-y finish. A very rich and rewarding stout As with other Hill stouts I have had, the finish doesn't end as a sweet syrupy excess like other well regarded favs, but rather a light note that makes you want to have more.

Dark brown / black appearance with a modest tan head that fades quickly to a collar, minor spotty lacing. Coffee, roasted malt, milk chocolate, nut notes. Moderate thick body, creamy carbonation.
