A fun offering here, the lowest ABV beer I've tried to date. Basically a lite version of Arthur -- has the same brett funkiness combined with the lightly Belgian yeast profile. Bone dry and very refreshing. Goes great with pasta

Even though I'm doing dry Jan, this is low enough to count. Bottled 2021/04/28
Pours a light fizzy bubbly head with med retention, fair soapy lacing, brilliantly clear pale golden honey color

Nose is nice, very earthy farmhouse character, some funky tart and barnyard Brett, bready doughy malt, cereal, little citrus and general tart fruit

Taste light grainy malt cereal, more farmhouse earthy notes with peppery phenols, green pepper even, little barnyard Brett funk with tart lemony citrus funk, very low acidity, more fruity flavor into light straw malt, drier mild flemmy tart finish, touch of floral hop and flowery character

Mouth is med to lighter bod, med to a bit lower carb, lower to fair acidity and tart flemmy

Overall quite nice light easy drinking semi tart funky beer, I could drink tons of these

At first surprisingly foggy for such low ABV, the fog appears to be a chill haze that clears up after a few seconds of exposure to room temp, displaying as a burnt yellow hue. The head builds to a lumpy, moderate height of off-white foam before receding to a doily collar and sparse film.

Taste is the most clovey and phenolic of Belgian-like yeast I think I've had in a Hill, which is to say still very subtle, but on show here, accented by a spritz of lemon and the faintest touch of wheat.

The body is moderately light, but filled by a crisp froth that comes to a semi-dry swallow, exhaling a very mild straw funk.

The best low ABV ale I've had.

Draft at Hill Farmstead.

Hazy, pale yellow body with a pure white head. Sticky lacing clings to the walls of the tulip.

Grassy, floral aroma.

Teeming with flavor. Light bodied and crushable.

An ideal beer for a hot summer day.

On tap at Hill Farmstead. Clear golden. Big white head. Smells of grapefruit and light garlicky mosaic. Amazingly, it smells like grain. But light, of course. Taste is all hops. Sharp leafy hops that leave a tingly tang in the back. Orange and grapefruit. Light, well carbonated. Lingering tangy aftertaste. Interesting, but not wonderful.

On tap at Hill Farmstead Brewery in Greensboro Bend, VT.

This one pours a light and clear golden yellow color, with a big fluffy head, and lots of lacing.

This smells like spicy hops, grassy hops, citrus, light funk, clove, and oak.

You can definitely tell this is 1.7%, but there's definitely a lot of flavor here despite all that. There's a delicate but vibrant hop character - grassy, citrusy, and spicy, with a clove-y funk to it. It doesn't quite feel like the usual HF funk here - drier, and more classically Belgian saison.

This is very light bodied, and super crisp, with a fantastic drinkability.

I really like the idea behind this, and it's a reasonably successful at working the super sessionable table beer thing.

Truly an amazing low ABV beer. Taste pretty much like the full alcohol version and looks and feels just like a regular beer. I would totally drink a bottle of this which I can’t say for any other non-alcoholic beer.

Large 40cl draft pour at Hill Farmstead June 18th, 2021. 4th person to try this offering according to Shaun. Unbelievable clarity, crisp lager appearance. Bright and delicate hop character. Incredibly drinkable. Bursting with flavor at 1.7%. Inspired from the trial Table Clara batch.
