750 mL bottle. Cloud orange. Smells of strong mosaic hops. Garlic, onion, green notes. Tastes of aggressive mosaic. More garlic and onion. Herbals. Really chewy hops. Like chewing mosaic hops. Doesn't live up to the other Self Reliance iterations. This mosaic just doesn't lend many redeeming qualities.

This one pours a very hazy golden orange color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

This smells like orange, tangerine, grassy hops, wheat, and pine.

This is the most purely IPA-like of all of the series so far. The double dry hopping does seem to obscure most of the Farmstead aspects of this one. I feel like it will age pretty interestingly over time - in a couple of years it might funk up a bit and some of that hop character might drop off a little bit with time. There's loads of orange and tangerine, some berry, pine and clove, with just the slightest, most subtle hint of light hay funk on the back end if you really search for it.

This is medium bodied, creamy, and pretty crisp, with a really nice drinkability.

This wasn't my favorite in the series, based on comparisons to the other beers in the series, as it wasn't really a farmhouse IPA or a hoppy saison or anything like that. It might turn into that with time, though. Taken purely as an IPA, it's obviously good stuff, though.

From a 750ml bottle, bottle conditioning since 07/01/21. Served in a tulip.

Pours a lightly hazed and glowing, super-pale pineapple-yellow with a huge three-plus finger head of snowy-white, whipped fluff. Retention is excellent, leaving a thick, creamy cap and fat gobs of lacing.

Nose is sharp as a razor and clean as a whistle. Tart, citrusy and piney, Pineapple, lime, white grape juice and rosemary.

Taste does a bit of a fundamental 180° to the nose and, instead of being all clean and bright, it’s sort of dull, earthy, acidic and dirty - not awful, but definitely a come-down after the appearance and aroma! Horse blanket. Tasting orange peel, mushrooms and damp, moldering straw.

Feel is creamy, medium-hefty bodied and aggressively carbonated with an ensuing acidy smolder in the gullet.

Overall, I might have rated the taste higher if the appearance and aroma hadn’t built up my expectations so high - which hardly seems fair but there it is. It gushed somewhat and I struggled to get enough beer into the glass to actually sit down on the sofa with and drink. So, it’s possible there’s a bit of an infection but otoh it’s just as possible that was the point.
