The next in our series of harvest season selections features a blend of our Farmstead® ales—all of which rested in oak for more than a year—harmonized with yellow raspberries from the 2020 harvest season at Fisher Brothers Farm in Shelburne, Vt. Once again, this thoughtful union expresses a singularly intentional representation of the fruit in season.

Mostly clear gold with a white head of moderate height settling to a densely level blanket and fine bubbly collar.
Starting with divinely seedy yet freshly bright and vinously tart raspberry via a firmly crisp medium body, the oak is subtle and provides a finely drying tannin. It even exhales what seems like a bit of char as it warms.
However, the acidity becomes grating over time, even occasionally hinting at the acetic variety.

375 mL bottle. Clear pale yellow. Smells of bubble gum, white wine, light acidic fruits, and earthy yeast aromas. Tastes of bubble gum, raspberry, but more of an acidic fruit flavors than berry. Bubble gum back end. Moderate sourness. Bubble gummy, but it's not bad.

This one pours a hazy golden orange color, with a small head, and a good bit of lacing.
This smells like funky honey, stone fruit, white wine, oak, and citrusy funk.
Yellow Raspberries make for a very interesting beer here - I've never had them as food, and I'm not honestly sure I'd be able to discern that there was yellow raspberry in this beer without knowing beforehand. They are very distinct from red raspberries, with a candied lemon sweetness, a pleasant warm honey character, and a fresh, almost sun-kissed apricot type flavor.
This is medium bodied, full and vibrant, with a manageable acidity and good drinkability.
This is easily one of the best Hill Farmstead fruited beers that they've ever done.

Has this at a bottle share with good friends the other night. We had 3-4 top 250’s during the share and this was as big or bigger a hit with everyone than those.
