Everett (1908-1939) was our grandfather’s brother; Hill Farmstead Brewery rests upon the land that was once home to him and his 13 siblings. In his honor, this porter is crafted from American malted barley, English and German roasted malts, American hops, our ale yeast, and water from our well. This iteration of our American porter was aged atop a blend of vanilla beans sourced from Ecuador, Tahiti, Uganda, and Madagascar.

On draft at the source, this pours matte black to dark brown with a beautifully tall but fluffy tan head retaining very well while leaving wavy lace as it slowly recedes.
While the body is fairly light, the carbonation is an airy fluff that starts off by delivering a tobacco and slightly smoky roast. This roast recedes into a smooth but sharp cacao assisted by the fleeting vanilla that allows it to come back to a uniquely leafy, semi-dry finish.
