This one pours a soft-looking pinkish-red color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like lightly sweet berry, white wine, oak, and lemon.
Like most of the fruited variants of Brother Soigne, the fruiting sort of dulls the more interesting aspects of the base beer. However, this one is still more interesting than some of the Soignees, as there’s certainly a more pronounced barrel character. There’s white wine and a nice lemony funk, with some oak and a touch of honey.
This is light bodied, clean, crisp, and super drinkable.
I like this the best of the fruited Soigne(e) variants, but the gin barrel version still reigns supreme over all of them.
