This dark Farmstead is crafted from American malted barley, German roasted malts, European hops, our farmhouse yeast, and water from our well. This selection was aged in a wine barrel for nearly a year, but this one was conditioned atop cocoa nibs from Peru, sourced and roasted by Mateo at Prophecy Chocolate in nearby Hardwick, Vt., and Monte Grande coffee from Cajamarca, Peru, sourced and roasted by The Coffee Collective

This one pours a dark brownish/blackish color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells roasty, with some coffee, and lots of wine barrel.
I wish this had a bit more coffee flavor to it, but the regular Edith flavor is obviously something that’s enjoyable. There’s lots of wine barrel here, some nice roast, a bit of candied lemon, and some barnyard funk.
This is lighter bodied, clean, and quite drinkable.
This isn’t an improvement on regular Edith, but it was still enjoyable for sure.
