Beer pours gold with a nice whiten head. Some haze. Aroma is of honey and some light fruity esters. Beer is tart with some residual sweetness. Lots of honey flavor. Body is medium and carbonation are good. Would be nice if it was drier.

its always fun to travel and find random beers that dont exist in my home market. i know nothing about these guys, but took a chance on this reasonably priced cork and cage 750ml bottle. the beer is good, young for sure, but not bad if you dont mind a little of the white wine vinegar acidity in it, which i really dont on a hot day. really lively pour, the cork comes off with gusto and a snap, and the beer has an almost gushing pure white head with heaps of foam on the inside of my hotel room glass as i drink it down. bright golden color, a little haze, lots of bubbles. champagne and apple juice on the nose, a prominent dry hopping it seems too, a little lemon tang, some new oak, and a runaway yeast strain that is a little out of control. the flavor has some sharp acidity right up front, its a lot, but its refreshing too. white wine tartness, the wood, and a simple but fuller bodied grain base. golden raisins, apricots, subtle pine hops, cheerios cereal, lactic almost berliner elements, and a rush of carbonation. its good, but its also a little amateurish in my opinion, not as refined as it could be, and with a little of that hurried sourness. i like it pretty well overall though, just not sure i need the whole bottle. i guess we will see how it sits in the gut. good for the price, but still somewhat in development and a few steps behind the best beers in the style these days, but it shows a lot of promise...
