2017's issue pours a brown liquid that forms into a chocolate brown-black, reaching more obsidian towards the center. The head is a beautiful reddish brown with a sliver of head remaining.
Aromas are of fresh breakfast blend coffee, foil-wrapped chocolates, Hershey's syrup, and whole milk. Awesome.
Flavor leaves a little to be desired, coming off very aggressive to start with a rush of alcohol and black licorice. These flavors buzz on the tongue like a swarm of angry bees, with faint suggestions of Kahlua and whiskey barrel. Once you swallow it, the aftertaste of Hershey's syrup and blended coffee politely wave goodbye. Still, the alcohol burns off any flavor, it's just too aggressive.
Feel is hot, boozy, and alive with carbonation. A drying finish.
Overall, a decent sipper, but while the nose is amazing, the flavor brings it down a few points. Very burnt and alcohol-like. That 13% is not hidden well at all.
